We were slightly delayed in leaving Winnipeg because of a dodgy wheel lug on our 2015 Nissan Micra, but Curtis Tire fixed us up and we finally left around 5pm. Normally on the first day on the road we make it to Swift Current but in this case we gave up at Brandon and desolately checked into a hotel and sat in the hot tub.
Winnipeg to Brandon to Fort MacLeod to Radium to Kamloops.
Day two: from Brandon to Fort MacLeod and visiting Medicine Hat on the way by.
We got up early in the morning at Fort MacLeod, explored Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump, all by ourselves only watched by some Marmots. The atmosphere was quite magical even though the wind was stiff.
It’s always worth a stop at Radium for a soak in the big hot spring pool.
We went from Radium to a campsite just east of Kamloops. There are very few camping options in that stretch of highway west of Revelstoke.
Going from Saskatoon, and a nice bike ride through there. Lunch in Kinley, Saskatchewan where we found some vintage treasures and then on to Macklin....
