Winnipeg River Trail, Feb 12 2012

Leif Norman

So much fun Winnipeg in the winter, activities on the Assiniboine and Red rivers at The Forks! Dogs and kids and dogs and kids!

Skating. Hockey Rinks. Numerous interesting architectural adventurous designs for warming huts and ice skate changing into areas.

Ice carving. Painting on the ice. Burling on the ice. (This is like bowling and curling.)

Under the Provencher Bridge, just north of The Forks is open water. This is the first time I can remember the Red river not freezing in Winnipeg.

I think this is the most used Warming Hut at the Forks. A crowd favourite
