Mike Green, Winnipeg Comic

“Funny”, “Intellectual”, and “Ambiguously Brown” are the three tines that make up the trident of Mike Green’s comedic style.  Willing to turn the microscope on the idiosyncrasies of his own backwards generation with a wisdom that surpasses his years, Mike tries to get as many laughs from speaking the truth as he does from revisiting stories from his life.  At 22 he won the Rumor’s Comedy Club Funniest Person with a Day Jobcontest in 2009.  He’s parlayed that success into regular guest spots wherever he can get them, and is the regular host of Stand up At the Standard Tavern.

Winnipeg Comic, Dan Huen

25, single, a lover of cats and…listening , Dan Huen has been in the comedy game four years now. After doing the fest in 2011 he has spent the last two years working on the TV show The Week Thus Far (WTF). Drawing inspiration from ocean swells, he likes to think of his comedy as a personal inundation of stories and nifty thoughts. He is happy to have reached several milestones in his career; already having been chosen as one of Manitoba’s 30 under 30 and performed at NYC’s Gotham Comedy Club. Of all though, the best trip has been bangin’ out 4.5 seasons of a TV show in 2 years with 15 of his best buddies!

Winnipeg Comic, Keener

Like Madonna and Bono, Keener needs only one name.

Keener’s standup looks at the world with an indomitable sense of optimism that many have lost as they grew up and became cynical adults. Keener takes you back to that happy place with jokes that appeal to both your sophisticated adult brain as well as your inner child giggles.

And after all is said and done, and you still can’t remember his name, don’t worry…he has it written on his shirt. If you want to see more of Keener, go to his place or visit keenercomedy.com
