Meet the Ambassadors

11am–12:15pm • Outdoor Ramp and Eckhardt Hall (Main Floor)

Meet with 15 Folklorama Youth Ambassadors in traditional

clothes who will tell you about the culture of their country while

showing you the Quilt of Belonging block that corresponds to it.

Find the block that most closely represents your culture. Don’t

forget to check out the Kids’ Quilt of Belonging and draw your

own block to take home with you.

Interactive Family Tour

12:15–1pm • Meet in the Skylight Lounge (Galleries Level)

Join artist and educator Lita Fontaine for a fun-filled and

thought-provoking tour of the inspiring Carl Beam exhibition.

Show Time

1–2:30pm • Muriel Richardson Auditorium (Main Floor)

Enjoy performances by the Chinese Lion Dance group Wushu

Manitoba; the African beat of Bola Oriyami and Ariya Afrika; the

Aboriginal School of Dance; and Inuit performance by Melinda

Tautu and Zeann Manernaluk.

Little ones can have fun making their own quilt block using felt shapes.

Paper Boats • Rooftop Sculpture Garden (Penthouse Level)

Create Japanese-inspired paper boats with origami master Bob

Frayer. Float your boat in the Rooftop Pond!

Cool Treats

3–5pm • Gelati on the Rooftop (Penthouse Level)

Italian gelati and sorbet is being served on the Rooftop.

$1 per scoop. Until supplies last.
