The Gimli Airfield and awesome old airplanes, July 29 2011

This used to be a fully fledged Airforce Base with two runways large enough to land the largest bombers.

Gimli Cadets still use it, along with speed freaks jamming the quarter mile.

that big yellow plane is a favourite of mine

flammable is my favourite shot here, since I compulsively photograph that word
