Road Trip out East, May 14, 2019

From Cache Bay to the Canadian Clock Museum! It was amazing!

The spring and summer of 2019 had very high water levels in southern Ontario. This is the West Nipissing Power Station in Sturgeon Falls.

A great collection of starburst clocks from the 1960’s and 70’s

Westinghouse Skyscraper Electric Clock Radio from 1931. $193 in 1931 is over $3000 in today’s money. Would you pay $3000 for a clock and a radio! It has superior sound, remote control, and a super accurate time keeper. Top Notch!

The much sought after Carved Beaver wood clock. Very valuable

Inside the Canadian Clock Museum

78 rpm record players had disposable metal needles, but did you know bamboo also works? The clipper/sharpener is also seen.

The “Winnipeg” clock from 1905. Pequegnat (pronounced Peginaw” Clocks

Allan Symons of the Canadian Clock Museum. He gave Heather and I an hour long personal tour of the entire place and even played some Elvis on the biggest and best sounding 78 RPM record played I have ever seen and heard.
