Logging Activity by Port Alberni, BC
We went from Port Alberni, down the Beaver Creek Road and then to the Comox Trail, which looks like a proper road on the map we had, but it actually a rough single lane logging road. Yikes!
Logging on Vancouver Island. The forest looks pretty wrecked.
The far western part of Comox lake had an old drowned forest. Odd…
The Long Road, East of Elsie Lake, North West of Port Alberni
The West end of Comox Lake
And then after 90 minutes of rough horrible roads we reached a locked gate. We were so close to Comox and then had to turn around and go all the way back to Port Alberni. I thought about taking the car over the big hump on the left, but it would probably have wrecked it.
Location of locked logging road gate that wasted three hours of our time while trying to get to a nice soft bed in Comox
