Hooper’s Furniture, April 24 2014

Leif Norman

“Happy Spring, Everyone! SOOOOO LONG WINTER!

We are super-excited about our latest shipment from Denmark. We have a fantastic variety of exceptional pieces to showcase.

As always we will require some time to re-merchandise and pretty-up the space, so the store will be closed from April 18th – April 23rd.

Please join us for a Wine & Cheese Reception on Thursday April 24th from 6:30 – 9:00 PM.

We would like for you to be among the first to view our new arrivals!

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

An amazing folding teak stool by Poul Hundevad of Denmark. Referred to as the “Gold Hill Chair”. Hundevad designed and manufactured the stool after a piece found in a grave that dated back to the 1300s B.C. that is considered the oldest known piece of Scandinavian furniture. Beautifully crafted with a solid sculptured teak base and original quality leather seat. Excellent condition with but minor fading and distress from age to the surface of the leather. A icon of the Danish & Mid Century Modern era with tons of character.
