Rockwell Pancake Breakfast at the Winnipeg Art Gallery
Stay in your jammies on Sunday, May 6 and come down to the Winnipeg Art Gallery for a Norman Rockwell pancake breakfast. The fun starts at 10am with hotcakes and sausages served until 11:30 and continues until 2pm with lots of fun activities to keep the whole family busy.
Help actor Daina Leitold bring the work of Norman Rockwell to life in a dynamic interactive exhibition tour. Create your own vintage or Rockwell-inspired costume accessories and props in Studio Programs workshops. Swing and swivel to the music of Will Bonness and his band—instructors will be on hand to teach you the moves of the 40s. Visit the Rockwell Family Zone to create your own Saturday Evening Post covers. Pose with vintage costumes and props to have a family portrait taken by a professional photographer. Take a trip down memory lane with episodes of two of the most popular television shows of the 50s—Father Knows Best and Leave it to Beaver.
And be sure to visit the Gallery Shop for a great selection of Rockwell-inspired merchandise for all ages.
Admission to the event, which is sponsored by HOT•103, is $15 for WAG family members, $6 for individual members, and $25 for non-member families, and includes admission to the Norman Rockwell exhibition. The extra charge for breakfast (while supplies last) is $8 for adults and $6 for children.
