Portage Place in downtown Winnipeg is undergoing a massive $650-million redevelopment by True North Real Estate Development, transforming the 1987 mall into a mixed-use hub. The project, aiming for 2028 completion, includes a new health-care center and 15-story residential tower with affordable housing. Deconstruction of the existing structure is currently underway.
